IN FOSTER IN THE UK
Luz is a small girl, age 5, who has had a hard life before entering the shelter and is missing most of her tail. She struggled to cope in the shelter hence we decided to bring her to the UK to foster. In spite of her background she is a very affectionate girl who although nervous at times, craves love. She has responded really well to training, especially clicker training and is slowly starting to understand that further food will be forthcoming. She lives happily with other dogs after careful integration, but she is so desperate for love that a home without other animals would suit her too. Luz is starting to understand that food and security are not going to be taken from her. She has quickly adapted to life in a home and as part of a family. She likes the sofa and loves a cuddle and attention. Not good with cats! She walks quite well on the lead. At the moment Luz is reactive to other dogs when out walking, but with continued training this should ease. Luz is confident around mowers or hoovers and other noisy situations! She also travels well in the car, a little restless but does settle. Luz sleeps alone downstairs because she doesn’t like stairs and is good when left, no separation anxiety.
